lyrics

"Meaningless, everything is meaningless."
Funny how these words fall from the lips of those
Who have tasted everything good in life

"Meaningless, everything is meaningless,"
Is the cry of academics who tire of the present,
Yet reason faith absurd until it's proven

Their conclusions make me wonder
If we need more than the tangible
When saints and philosophers alike
Cast aside faith, they find nothing in life
But I remember how Jesus once said,
Those who hunger and those who thirst,
And those who long for righteousness will be filled

"Meaningless, everything is meaningless."
We stumble over truth and purpose and return to the race towards
Prestige, revenue and insignificance

My observations make me wonder
If we need more than the tangible
When saints and philosophers alike
Cast aside faith, they find nothing in life
But I remember how Jesus once said,
Those who hunger and those who thirst,
And those who long for righteousness will be filled
